How lucky the people of Madrid are! In Madrid, the first pharmacy exclusively for dogs and other animals authorized by Health has opened.
The first thing that came to my mind was: » but there are already many online pharmacies for pets «, but of course, what I had not realized is that the products sold online are without a veterinary prescription, but what happens? When do you need veterinary prescription medications? You have to go to a normal pharmacy, where, of course, they don’t let you enter with a dog and everything is said, they are not very knowledgeable in animal matters either. There are even pharmacists who don’t like animals.
That is why this pharmacy was born from the hand of a pharmacist, so that we can be freely accompanied by our furry friend and ask all the questions we want to the animal pharmacist, both about the medication and the discomfort that our furry friend has. And how well they will treat the dog because they are animal lovers! Esther, its founder, explained to us that she opened this pharmacy when she saw the real need there was for an exclusively animal pharmacy, which not only dispensed veterinary medications but could advise owners on the needs of their animal.
It doesn’t make any sense to leave the vet to look for medicine in a normal pharmacy where you have to leave your dog tied outside, right? Well, I hope this is the first of many animal pharmacies. That’s how nice it is!
What can you find in an animal pharmacy ? From veterinary prescription to over-the-counter medicines, hygiene products, food and snacks, orthopedic products, etc.
If you are from Madrid and have a dog, do not hesitate to visit Farmanimal . You will find it at Plaza Fonsagrada, 8. Tell us about your experience!
We remain hopeful that many more will open!

Muchas gracias!
